The point in the sky where meteors (shooting stars) associated with a specific meteor shower appears to originate from. In most cases, the constellation that contains the radiant lends its name to the shower. For example, the Perseids radiant is in Perseus, the Geminds radiant is in Gemini. One notable exception is the Quadrantids, which is named after the now defunct constellation of Quadrans Muralis. It's radiant is located in current day Boötes.
